Rental Unit in Receivership

More details to this question:
The place I rent went into receivership. I was give a word document telling me to pay the receiver. I landlord told me to make the check payable to a completely different company this month. I asked the attorney to give me something from the courts; all she provided was a case number, but I don't know how to look it up. What should I do?

The attorney should be able to give you a copy of the Order Appointing Receiver.  If you want to check the accuracy of the Order, both Washoe County and Clark County have online Case Management systems on which you can look up cases using the case number.
