A verbal agreement was made with a friend to Rent-To-Own his property. For two years rent has been paid as agreed, until this past month. They now want to rescind their agreement and evict. What are the rights for the tenant of a rent-to-own?

I believe the law will not enforce a verbal agreement to purchase property. This is probably a garden variety month-to-mont lease . If the tent is not paying rent, they can be evicted from the property.
