QUESTION

Shared driveway at NYC

Asked on Apr 14th, 2017 on Residential Real Estate - New York
More details to this question:
I live at NYC, and i am a home owner, I share a driveway with neighbor which only allows one car at a time, I've been parking at the driver for the past 11 years ever since I purchased the house, my neighbor is an old couple who doesn't have or own a car, therefore, for the past 11 years, they never said anything about me parking at the driveway, but just out of curiosity, in this situation, is it legal for me to park at the driveway? Since my neighbor doesn't have car ? What happens if one day they decided not to let me park at the driveway no more ?

It is a shared driveway by deed.  Letting you do it does not increase your rights.  If they change their mind, then they can seek to stop you from doing it.
