QUESTION

Understanding the wording of my contract

Asked on Aug 31st, 2015 on Real Estate - California
More details to this question:
Does renting out my room while I live there and using a service such as Airbnb considered, " trade, commercial, or business activity" business? Or is it considered a home business? Can I legally state it is "incidental to the use of the Unit as a dwelling, are permitted by local law, and are conducted in such a manner as to not interfere with other Owners use". It's a similar service like Uber. Since I am not having anyone sign a contract and not subleasing because I own it. I am not breaking any city laws neither.

I'm unclear of what you are asking for.  Are you questioning the terms of your contract with Airbnb and whether you can rent a room in your home?  Have you recieved any complaints or letters from code enforcment regarding this?  Local ordinances and zoning restrictions may limit your ability to rent a room on Airbnb.
