What to do when requested repairs not made?

More details to this question:
.I am 67 yrs old and disabled. It has been 8 months since my dryer needed repair which I pay for in my rent. No repair has been made and now am being ignored

You can call local legal aid and see if they can intervene. Otherwise, you will need to find a means to terminate the tenancy and move elsewhere. There is no viable means to force a LL to make repairs.
