Why does the bill for utility always come with my deceased uncle's name on it?

More details to this question:
The bill from my power company had always came with my name and a deceased uncles name on it. I am part owner of it.

Because no one ever told the power company that he had died and there is a new responsible party.

Power bills are generally in the name of the individual who opened the account. The power company neither knows or cares who may be on title. However, the bill should now be transferred to the name of the person now responsible for paying the bill.
