I have been trying to repair my credit for more than a year due to numerous items coming up on my credit reports. Unfortunately, they continue to come up. Everything from credit cards to collection accounts and more than a dozen inquiries on each of the three credit reporting agencies. I have been successful in having a few of the items, but many still remain and continue to pop up. I have done some research about requesting a new social security number. I found out directly from the SSA website that I can do this on my own but I want to know if a lawyer can make the process any easier or give me a better chance to get this done?
