If someone doesn't report they're living with someone and the roommate applies for SSI /ssdi can they get in trouble

SSDI is not needs-based.  SSI is.  If the people maintain separate households, buying their own groceries and each paying half of the rent and utilities, SSI eligibility should not be affected.
