Do I qualify for SSD

More details to this question:
I was diagnosed with CHF in 2016 ( heart was working 50% at this time ). I applied for Social Security but was denied about 8 months after diagnosis. I have been in the hospital numerous times my heart is at 28% know. Lost my insurance for a while now can't afford the specialist. I feel like I'm in limbo.

Hello Jose,  It sounds like you need to consult with a SSD attorney. It may be helpful for you to gather all of your medical records from the time of diagnosis to the present. You may have a potential claim for back benefits, as well as current and going forward.

Only the Social Security Administration can determine whether you qualify.  The determination focus on your functional ability:  on your ability to perform any job (not your regular job).  Your age is taken into consideration.  Reapply.  If you need assistance, consider contacting the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives.
