QUESTION

Does This Classify as Fraud?

More details to this question:
My mother, against my wishes, signed me up for social security disability right before I turned 18 because I had anorexia/bulimia and was in and out of the hospital/seeing my psychiatrist. Now, I am in graduate school (graduated college) and my personal income has increased and personally, I don't think I am disable (especially considering I have worked on and off and was a full-time student in the past 5 years). She did report to SSDI that I am no longer living with her and am in school but that I still see a psychiatrist (which is true but mostly for my bipolar disorder now) but she did not report my income. In truth, I understand why she initially did this against my wishes--she needed a chunk of the money. Even now that I am not living with her, she still withdrawals a portion to pay her rent, which I don't think is right. I guess my question is whether I will I get in trouble for still receiving this check despite me thinking there is nothing wrong with me? What should I do?

It's not that you will get in trouble but rather, how much will the SSA make you pay back if they feel you are receivign a benefit you are no longer entitled to receiving.
