QUESTION

history of CVA

Asked on Aug 21st, 2014 on Social Security Disability - Virginia
More details to this question:
My sister applied for SSDI years ago for severe leg pain (for neuropathy) and was denied. This pain prevents her from working. A few weeks ago she had 3 strokes and had an endardorectomy. When she had an MRI, it showed that she'd had several old CVA's as well. There was a s history of familial CVAs (I had a debilitating when I was 36). I was able to get SSDI without them denying my claim. She would like to apply again. My sister lives in Virginia, I live in NH. She will provide written permission (when needed) to a lawyer to update me on this case.

She should re-apply for disability. With the new medical information from her strokes, she may well prevail without an attorney. If she is denied she can contact my office through my web site at www.virginiadisabilitylawyer.com.
