How can I appeal & win against SSI overpayment?

More details to this question:
I was part of a class action suit & was granted over $3000. Social Security is now claiming they over paid me & are requesting over $2500 back from me. I want to appeal & would like advice about my options. The class action was pertaining to Steigerwald v. Berryhill.

You should contact SSA directly to file a Request for a Waiver. You'll have to show it wasnt your fault the OP occurred and that you can't afford to repay it.
