i filed for disability in February and have been turned down twice. I have end stage arthritis in both hips and pain in both knees, xrays don't show anything so I need an MRI but I have no insurance. My doctor has written a statgement that i am totally disabled due to hips and need surgery and partially disabled in knees and need MRI. I work from home and work about 2 hours a day taking breaks from my computer chair for about 2 hours sitting in my comfy chair and ottoman where I can prop up my legs to get some relief.Should I stop working all together. I don't want to hurt my chances for collecting disability.
you can work part time and still qualify for disability benefits. the process is slow but you can win. all medical treatment records should be submitted to the ssd dept. you need an atty who can help you.
thank you, jay stillman
