i need a lawyer that knows social security / and disability

my wife and i have been fighting cancer for over 20 years i am retired many surgeries and chemo. my wifes cancer has come back a different kind this time lung cancer but a piece broke off and went to the brain. she had brain surgery. but now has trouble finding words. she still works but when she starts doing radiation ,chemo and immune-o therapy for at least a year. we dont know if she can keep working she is 2 / 17 / 1957 63 plus we spoke with social security agent he suggested she file for both at the same time ( social security and disability ) we need all the $ we can get after 20 years of this we are broke our benefits are all we have. we havent actually filed yet the paper work isnt as easy as they say since she is still trying to work i ask to represent her so they sent a paper saying i am not a lawyer and can not charge her. the way its worded i am lost already.
