QUESTION

SSDI under appeal, new medical issues. What to do?

Asked on Feb 04th, 2020 on Social Security Disability - Wisconsin
More details to this question:
I had a court date and had my SSDI denied. And appeal has been submitted and now, I have been diagnosed with more, new medical issues. Do I drop the appeal and try to start over? I don't have 12-36 months to wait, plus my new medical issues should qualify me for SSDI. What about a QDD?

I would not withdraw the appeal until you clarify at what level yo uare appealing.  Have you gone before an Adminsitrative Law Judge?    Attorney Scott F. Bocchio Legal Rights Advocates P 855-254-7841 www.yourlegalrightsadvocates.com

It is not clear whether you applied for reconsideration or for redetermination or took an appeal to an administrative law judge or to the counsel or to a district court.  The level you are at determines whether new information can be submitted.  You might want to contact a disabilities lawyer using the Find a Lawyer function on the website of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives.

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
