I currently am receiving 50% for insomnia and manic depression. I have since been diagnosed with sleep apnea and gout. Is it worth it to try and up my compensation benefits?

Dale, Social Security does not have a percentage of disability scale like you mentioned. Either you are 100% disabled or you are not disabled. There is no sliding sclae that awards people 50% disability at a lower rate than someone who is 100% disabled. Now, if you have Service Connected Veterans Disability ebneifts, they do award on a lsiding scale from 10% to 100%.
