"Backpay" refers to SSDI/SSI benefits due you for the period (of up to two years) between the time you applied and the date on which the Social Security Administration approved your claim.  You can use the State Bar of Texas Find a Lawyer function to find a lawyer who specializes in Social Security claims.

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
