My taxes are past due on my house. I received a civil complaint requesting a response. I plan on paying the total balance when my tax refund comes in about 8 days. What do I need to do?

Talk to the attorney who filed the suit, offer to settle the lawsuit for just the taxes without interest and penalties.

I can't tell from your question where you are in the tax foreclosure process. I suggest you call the County Treasurer and ask the Treasurer if you can pay the taxes in 8 days and retain your interest in the property.
