More details to this question:
Hello, I have been filing married / single since I married in 2018 ( he owed money to the IRS that is why I chose to file that way). In 2022 he did not work, I paid for everything, and supported him, he had no income. can I file Head of household? Instead of jointly, I do not want to be responsible for his past taxes since he still owes and that was before we were married

Update Your Profile
In order to file as Head of Household while married, you must meet the following requirements.  File your taxes separately from your spouse Pay more than half of the household expenses Not have lived with your spouse for the last 6 months of the year Provide the principal home of a qualifying dependent Claim said dependent on your tax return If you cannot meet all the requirements, I suggest you either file as Married Filing Separate or file a Joint return with Form  8379 to be considered an injured spouse.
