What are the steps in filing form 1120?

More details to this question:
Corporation has not filed since 2008 and would like to not file corporate tax and show dissolution in 2008. And then file regular schedule C for past 8 years. Is this possible?

That seems like an astonishingly bad idea. If a corporation is filing form 1120, that means it's a C corp responsible for its own income taxes. But if you file on schedule C as a disregarded entity, your responsible for its taxes.

Yes, but keep a copy of the Corporation File Detail Report from the Secretary of State's web site. It will show the date of the corporate dissolution.
