I have a family in Pleasantville, NJ that is in serious trouble regarding their property taxes. The grandmother is 90 years old and the property is in her name and she has been paying the mortgage on time. However, she hasn't been able to pay the property taxes quarterly and is behind. Her granddaughter has tried to step in to help but the City of Pleasantville wants all the money by Nov. 10th or they will proceed to the next step. The granddaughter is more than willing to pay $400 per month to help. Does the grandmother have any options available to her to maintain her place of residency and keep the house in the family. She is too old to be going through this and not getting any help. This isn't my area of expertise. I am doing my best. That is why I am reaching out to you. Please advise.
