I purchased a house with "as is" condition. My general inspector found some leaking area, and it was fixed, but he did not catch basement leaking (hole). I asked a seller about leaking or flooding in basement, she said she was not aware of it. After I purchased a house, it was raining. Basement was leaking and water was running down like a tap water. Can I sue the seller about not disclosing leaking or general inspector? She is the power of attorney (the daughter of the seller.) She insists she is not aware of it, and her mother has memory problem. But basement technician said there was leaking problem at least 10 times a year. It costs $20,000 and more.
