My grand father passed away aug 15. How long does it take for a trust to get settled? Also no one has been forth coming to anybody yet about the trust. Could this be a concern or do some people only get contacted once everything has been taken care of?

If you are a beneficiary under the trust, then you are entitlted to a copy of it and an accounting.  It usually takes six to twelve months for a trust to be closed, but it can take longer.
