Can an executor of a will keep your inheritance?

More details to this question:
My half sister contacted me in November to let me know that I was supposed to get half of everything after her mother died . She was married to my father who died 20 years ago. Since then she became resentful because I wasn't involved in the selling of the house and we've had arguments and now she said they don't owe me anything..I live in Delaware the house is in New York and I'm 70 years old and was a full-time caregiver to my sick husband which I explained to her . She has been extremely nasty even after I told d her my husband passed away in May she didn't care said everyone has problems..Want some legal advice she said you should have been nicer I'm the executor of the will..
