More details to this question:
My husbands Aunt passed away in Sept 2014 in California . She had a will naming all nieces and nephews . She changed it because many did not bother to keep in contact with her. She left four people as named in her will. My sister in law is contesting the will because she was not named . She did not even attend her funeral! Can she do this?

She can certainly try to contest it, but she will likely be unsuccessful unless she has some evidence of fraud or undue influence.  You should definitley retain counsel.
