QUESTION

Do I have a claim against my father's estate?

Asked on Sep 11th, 2018 on Estate Planning - Tennessee
More details to this question:
My father died a couple of years ago. I have only just now learned that his estate, probably less than 50K, was administered by his daughter-in-law who had a POA. My brother and my sister-in-law receive a monthly mortgage payment from a piece of property my father owned. I suspect I have a claim. He died, as far as I know, intestate. I have a good relationship with my brother but his response to any direct question is that "Jane takes care of all of that." Jane is not, in my opinion, not fully trustworthy. What should I do?

You can file a claim against the estate if you feel you are owed money.
