File Petition of Guardianship prior to babys birth

More details to this question:
Mother is an addict. Child will most likely be born an addict. Sister would like to have immediate guardianship of child. Child is due to be born within the next two weeks or could a standby guardianship petition be filed on an ex parte basis so that when the child is born it triggers the temporary guardianship? There is no father in the picture. Mother is homeless and sex trafficked unfortunately so no details on father.

There is no potential ward until the child is born so no application for guardianship can be filed before then. Ask the local probate court or state bar for a list of guardianship attorneys who practice in the county in which the child is expected to be born. That is where the application must be filed.
