My husband was a victim of homicide but he had custody of his son born out of wedlock and the childs biological mother is incarcerated . . We also have 2 other children and would like to keep together . What are the laws or requirements for myself

The child's biological mother has priority as his natural guardian but you may persuade her to give you (revocable) custody using a special power of attorney. Talk to a family law attorney.
