Guardianship set up to be automatically transferred upon death

More details to this question:
(Omaha,NE) Hello, is it possible when setting up a guardianship hearing to have it where if the guardian were to pass away (like a parent) the guardianship title and responsibilities be automatically transferred to another person (a relative) without having to go through the guardianship court process again?

No.  Only a court can award a guardianship.  The current guardian cannot choose a successor.
