QUESTION

How can my aunt get custody of me?

Asked on Aug 11th, 2017 on Guardianship and Conservatorship - Arkansas
More details to this question:
I have not lived with either one of my parents for the past 5 years. My mom cannot afford me living with her nor is she stable enough to have me there. I believe my mom has depression, or she might be doing drugs again. As of a few months ago, my mom did not renew my insurance and I've been pushing her to refile and I still do not have insurance. I would like for my aunt to have custody of me.

Your Aunt needs to file a petition for guardianship with the Court and get letters of guardianship. I am assuming that you are not age 18 or older.
