Asked on Aug 13th, 2018 on Trusts and Estates - New York
More details to this question:
my mother passed in 2005. she had a will filed for many years. my father had a new will written for her omitting me entirely. This occurred within a week or so before she passed. she had been in signifcant pain and taking large daily doses of morphine unable to think clearly or hold a writing instrument. Therefore she was not in sound mind and someone forced her initials and signature that does not resemble her true signature. How do i find out which will was authorized by the court(filed in Nassau county)

Wills are public when filed.  Go to the Surrogate's Court and ask the clerk if there is an estate opened and look at the file.  Unless you challenged it, the last will governs.
