QUESTION

How do I get my trust fund released?

Asked on Nov 01st, 2013 on Trusts and Estates - Kentucky
More details to this question:
My great grandma left me a great deal of money when she passed. I've been told that I'll get it when I start college and that a judge must release it to me. I'm 16 and recently had a baby. I dropped out of high school and got my GED. I'll be starting nursing school in the spring semester. My question is, in Kentucky, how would I go about getting this money for school and how long would it take? I really want to accelerate to get my education complete to provide the best life for myself and my son. Thank you!

You need to consult with a local KY lawyer. It all depends what conditions, grandmother's will or trust, or the court put on the release of the money. Usualy there is a condition to be met like you need to be 18 or you need to be 21 and graduated from a college, etc.
