how to end attorney client relationship

More details to this question:
about 6 months ago, I paid an attorney seven hundred fifty dollars as down payment for doing a trust. 'for all this time I have received no work, calls, etc. from attorney. I just want to quit this attorney and get my money back. At this late date, I don't want to initiate any calls to this attorney. I just want my money back.

If that is half the fee, it’s quite reasonable. More than likely, there was a communication breakdown. Perhaps they tried to email you with a question but the email went to spam, or they tried to call you but had your phone number wrong. I would suggest you call them.
