QUESTION
if my mother dies do i have to worry about HER siblings trying to claim any of her estate? i'm her only child and she is widowed w/no step children.

i am my mother's only child, she and my step-dad had no children. he died in 2015. she has three sisters and a brother. if she dies and they are still alive, do i have to worry about them fighting me for her estate or assets? how do we ensure that does not happen?

Generally speaking, no -- but it is safer to have a Will.
