misrepresntation by lawyer on estate trusts

More details to this question:
lawyer was made aware of a change in a revocable trust in writing and it was never amended by the lawyer we are now having trouble with the grandchildren who want their share. as a trustee i was under the impression when a change was delivered to lawyer to change the revocable trust it was done. now the lawyer is telling us it never got amended and we should settle with the grandchildren. I am not sure this is the best advice

If the lawyer never made the change, you could try to get the Court to amend the trust or, more likely, you'd have a malpractice claim against the attorney. I'd need more facts to tell you whether or not you should settle with the grandchildren and what recourse you'd have. I consult on cases like this for $235 per hour.
