QUESTION

parents estate distribution

Asked on Oct 20th, 2013 on Estate Litigation - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
Could house be sold to a trust that would pay others by its rental intake. Not much else is in estate. I would like to keep the house but do not have the money to buy it right now from my other two sisters. The trust set up would keep the house out of my name and provide income after others in the will are paid. It would also pay taxes. My brother in law was to be the executor but hasn't done anything after 3 years. The state might sell the house for back taxes if I don't do something soon. I collect social security and don't want to lose it by having income from the home in my name.

sounds good. you really need to confirm that if you are a trustee of a trust, can that effect your eligibility for SS income. you should consult with a local attorney about this and your bro in laws inaction.
