Asked on Dec 02nd, 2020 on Estate Planning - Alabama
More details to this question:
My grandmother died but has a home deeded in her name. Her son (my father) and daughter (my aunt) are now both deceased. Only children born were from my father. How do I go about changing ownership to myself? I’ve been owing property taxes since my aunt died in 1998.

Please contact a local probate attorney to determine whether an Affidavit of Heirship, a Small Estate Affidavit or an Application for Determination of Heirship and Issuance of Letters of Administration would best fit your situation.
