QUESTION

Remove custodian from UTMA my account?

Asked on Mar 16th, 2016 on Trusts and Estates - California
More details to this question:
I have an UTMA account under my name with my custodian as my biological father. He is currently not answering phone calls or responding to my text messages. It has been 3 days and this account is supposed to be for my college education. I recently just spent $86 applying to Arizona State University and he still has not responded to me. I would like to remove him from the account and have this money transferred to just me. How do I go about it?

You would file a court petition to remove your biological father as custodian and to distribute the remainder of the funds.
