QUESTION

Sold house in revocable trust; how to remove?

Asked on Mar 29th, 2017 on Trusts and Estates - California
More details to this question:
My parents sold their house in 2015 and bought a new one in another town. When I looked over their living trust the other day, I noticed the old house listed in the trust. They live in Los Angeles County, California. I know that in order for the old house to be in the trust....they would have had to fill out a quitclaim deed or something like that to the county recorder to transfer the house to the trust. How do I help them remove the OLD house out of the trust and put the new one in there? Thank you for your time.

Update Your Profile
The New House must be titled in the name of the trust, usually: John Doe and Jane Doe, Trustees of the John Doe and Jane Doe Living Trust Dated Jan. 1, 2017. It doesn't matter if the Old House is listed in the trust, if the Old house was sold.
