three children in will, one dies, how is it split?

More details to this question:
Father's Will states his estate will be split equally among his three named children. However, one adult child has died. How is the estate divided?

That depends on the Will.  Some Wills state that the deceased child's share will pass to that child's descendants.  Some Wills state that the deceased child's share will pass to that child's siblings.
