QUESTION

What can I do?

Asked on Mar 26th, 2021 on Estate Planning - Ohio
More details to this question:
My lawyer told me to bring in my taxes from 2019 ( and completed 2018 ) so he could have his tax man do them. I took them to his office in March of 2020, before my next appointed the covid crisis hit and filing time was extended to July 2020. I called the beginning of July to see if they were done, never got a reply. So I called this March and was told they didn't have them, they found them later that day. As of today they still have not been filed. The person I spoke to told be there was another extension and it was taking time. I reminded her that I would need time to get this years taxes filed too. And they still have not finished up my late husbands estate from 2018.

I agree with Ms. Garrett.  If the attorney/accountant is not completing the work they were hired to do, you can always fire them, get your documents back and hire someone else. Best of luck.
