More details to this question:
As beneficiary (not executor) of an estate, what type of petition can I file with Surrogate's Court to show what expenses I incurred for the estate (prior to probate but after decedent's death)? In order to save the estate's property from foreclosure, I had to put ALL of my savings and if the house is sold, I want my money returned.

You can file a claim, and then a petition to compel payment.
