What do I do if a deceased person didn’t divulge where he put the home document?

More details to this question:
We are getting a loan by the home document. The man was put on court at 2008. At 2013, the man dies. We don’t about where that man put the document or in which court. Their son also didn’t respond anything about that document. We are so depressed. They put the interest from 2008 to until now because he didn’t respond.

What do you mean by "home document". A contract, a promissory note (loan), a deed. I don't know what "a man was put on court" means either. Are you sure you meant to send this matter to the State of Indiana, USA forum? If so, please post with more clarity and information .
