More details to this question:
I have been appointed as my brother's guardian and have to file a Guardian's Bond without surety with the court. I received a form from the court that requires my signature and 2 witnesses signatures. Do I have to purchase a bond? There are a lot of websites online where I can purchase surety bonds, but nothing I've seen talks about bonds without surety.

A bond "without surety" means a bond without an insurance company or other people insuring your actions, which is acting as your surety. It is usually a cash bond payable by check.

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
