What is the time limit for executing a will?

More details to this question:
The sister is executor of parent's real estate and will not settle the half as willed to her brother. Is there a time limit governing the settlement of the estate as written in the will? She has full control and has given the property to her son who is living there.

There is no express time limit. However, the Clerk of Court generally wants an explanation of why an estate administration is not complete after one year. Also, a petition to remove an executor can be filed at any time for wrongdoing or for failure to meet the duties required of the executor.
