When should beneficiary receive copy of trust?

My brother was made Trustee of Estate. I did not receive a copy of trust fo almost a month after our mother passed away, only to find out she left most of estate to him. This was in California

A beneficiary should receive a copy of the trust upon demand to the trustee. Receiving a copy of the trust within a month of death is within reason.
