Can executors make more $$ if will isn't found?

More details to this question:
Will designates 8 beneficiaries; names 2 as co-executors (paid 3k first yr, 1k for 2 more years each). Will executors make more $$ if they can't find the original will?

The executors are paid a commission that is based on the assets in the estate.  The amount of that commission is based on the statute and will not change if there is no will.
