Can I amend a Petition for Probate?

More details to this question:
I filed a Petition for Probate with LA county. I was wondering if I am able to change the name of the newspaper that I want to publish the notice in? If so how would I do that?

You can try calling the newspaper you named in your Petition to let them know you've changed your mind and they will tell you what you have to do. My guess is that so long as the publication of notice of death is otherwise proper, it doesn't matter which newspaper you mentioned on your Petition.
