Can I sue my brother for valuble items that he took before the will was registered

More details to this question:
My brother took some items that my dad had intended to go to me after he died and he also took some valuble items that belongs to the entire family and was supposed to be split four ways my brother is claiming these items as his and refuses to acknowledge the fact that he has to compensate me and my other siblings for the Cash value of the items I am going to sue him

Determine whether (1) you have evidence admissible in court, (2) the cost of suit will exceed the fair market value of the items, and (3) the items will have disappeared by the time a court reaches a verdict. Note that you do not need a lawyer for small claims or justice of the peace court.
