More details to this question:
My mother died a year and 3 months ago. Since than her husband (stepfather) has sold the house, built a new house took everything and well now me and my brother are on our own 26/34 whom still lived at home, me while i was still in college. She passed away with no will, and an odd question that haints me still is when he had us write down our social security numbers without really knowing why. Did he screw us in some way? Further were we as her children still living at home entitled to anything estate or life insurance wise? Thanks bryce
